Most fiction pieces, when they describe the visible very minute strands floating as revealed by the sunlight beams, have their persona in this scene react by holding his breath to prevent particle-lung contact.

I, on the other hand, would like to shut my eyes. I can feel grit prickling the sensitive surface of my exposed eyeball to prevent further eyelid and eyebag stye-pregnancy.

This lengthy babble serves as a prelude to this sentence: I will be buying spectacles later. No grado; it’ll be just for protection. In the meantime, there will be plenty of seemingly unnecessary eye-shutting.
